1. To save energy, make sure you fill your washing machine, but don’t overload it. It’s all about balance.
2. Keep your cool. Wash your clothes at lower temperatures to save energy, money, and reduce wear on your favourite pieces. For any items containing wool we recommend a gentle hand wash.
3. When it comes to detergents, less is more. They’re stronger than you think, and using a little less will get the same clean result.
4. Ditch the softener where possible. It’s better for your clothes and the oceans if you skip it.
5. Avoid the tumble dryer as much as you can. it’s gentler on your clothes to air dry, plus kinder to the planet (and your bank balance!
6. Wear your clothes for longer before washing, especially natural-fibred knits. They’re breathable after all. Plus, they’ll last longer
7. Keep those microfibres out of the ocean by using a washing bag for your synthetics and activewear.
8. To prevent pilling Invest in a fabric comb or razor will remove those pesky pills and have your garments looking as good as new in no time. Wash your wool and cashmere items less often, simply air them out between wears and spot clean if needed.
