Purpose
At Nobody’s Child, we are on a mission to bring beautiful clothing to everyone, everywhere. As a fashion brand, we understand we have an impact on people and planet. We’ve mapped out three focal areas to work on and will report on progress as we move forward.
The goals
1. Elevate circular design and circular business models
We’ve already introduced circularity training for our design team and we’re developing tools to ensure circular principles are incorporated into all our clothes. Beyond circular design, we are also elevating our circular business models across repair, rental, resale, and more, helping to keep our clothing in use for as longer.
2. Develop our fabric mix
We will regularly assess our materials mix for all fibre types and always favour materials from reduced-impact sources including organic farming, recycled feedstock, and responsibly managed farms and forestry. Beyond this, we will conduct R&D with new, innovative materials and assess them for inclusion in our fabric mix.
3. Continually reduce climate impact with science-based targets
We are working closely with Seedling to measure and map our emissions, create a carbon reduction strategy and set science-based targets. We are also proud signatories of the Low Carbon Transition Programme, an industry-wide initiative supporting London-based fashion to move towards circularity and low carbon processes.
